Artists as Activists

I made this poster as my final project for a course called Artists as Activists. It was all about how artists could use their work to call attention to social, economic, political, and environmental issues. This class really made me approach design in a way I hadn't before. I was used to solving design problems, or designing for clients. This was designing for a cause, and you have to give people reason to care about and listen to what you're saying.

My poster highlighted the natural beauty of the natural world, and urges viewers to do their part in protecting that environment so that generations to come can see and enjoy that beauty as we have. I took and arranged all of the photographs used in the background.
